Jon Brochard

CPA – Certified Public Accountant

In 1994, Jon started working in an accounting firm in Southwest Washington and found a new passion: teaching! Clients using QuickBooks needed training and guidance on how to make the program actually work with their business. He has since worked with hundreds of clients, making their accounting systems produce information vital to their success. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Portland State University in 2001, passed the CPA exam in 2003, and has been a CPA since 2006. He specializes in tax preparation for small businesses as well as computer accounting consulting; helping clients with systems such as MAS 90, Great Plains, Peachtree, and QuickBooks. Jon is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Growing up in a military family, Jon has lived all over the United States, including New Orleans, Louisiana; Biloxi, Mississippi; Seattle, Washington and Lemoore, California before settling in Oregon. Jon has also lived in Key West, Florida, but prefers the full four seasons of Oregon over the sultry two of the Florida Keys. A clarinet and saxophone player, Jon enjoys performing and entertaining audiences as far away as Orlando with his main performing group: The Power Pep Band of Portland. He performs about 50 times a year with various musical groups, but lucky for us, he plays music as a passion rather than a career.
